The Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) is offering a unique opportunity for high school students in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Prince George’s County to gain hands-on experience in the human services field.

What is Human Services?

Human services professionals work to support individuals, families, and communities by providing access to essential resources, such as food and economic assistance, along with other services for children and adults in need. They play a vital role in improving the well-being of people.

  • Priority Hiring – Internship graduates receive priority consideration for employment.
  • Scholarship Opportunities – Eligible participants receive priority consideration for a program covering up to 100% tuition.
  • Employment Stipend – Receive a $500 stipend if hired after the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current High School Student in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Prince George’s County.
  • Strong interest in public service.
