How to Become a Confidential Intermediary

The requirements to be certified as a CI are the same for LDSS employees and CPA employees or former CPA employees. The CI requirements and qualifications can be found here. All Confidential Intermediaries (CI) must adhere to adoption reunion services regulations, policies and procedural guidelines. Specifically, they must adhere to the rules of confidentiality contained in the adoption reunion services regulations. They must also submit all documentation and status reports to the Administration within the specified time frames.

All services must be delivered in accordance with established Administration policy and procedural guidelines, and the Confidential Intermediary Code of Ethics and the Oath of Confidentiality, which is signed after the completion of CI training.
