2020 Regional Collaborative Training: Systems Approach – Substance Exposed Newborn (SEN)
Three regional trainings will be offered bringing together professionals from multiple disciplines connected to the service delivery continuum for substance exposed newborns, parents with substance use disorders, and families impacted by substance use. To facilitate these regional trainings Department of Human Services, Social Services Administration (SSA) is partnering with Maryland Addiction Consultation Services (MACS), Maryland Patient Safety Center, Maryland Department of Health/Behavioral Health Administration, and National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare.
Training Purpose: Intended for Health Care Practitioners, child welfare professionals, community health providers, and behavioral health providers who seek to improve care coordination for substance exposed newborns (including Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) and parents with opioid and substance use disorders.
