Maryland is making it easier than ever to apply for all benefits. Marylanders are invited to check their eligibility and apply or renew benefits on their smartphone, tablet, or a computer through MarylandBenefits.gov.

SNAP Toolkit

H.R. 1 Communications Toolkit

DHS has developed a communications toolkit to help Marylanders understand changes to the SNAP program taking place because of H.R. 1, a federal law passed by Congress and signed by President Trump. Some SNAP customers now must report work hours to keep their nutrition benefits.

DHS’ goal is to implement H.R. 1 in Maryland to minimize the harm and preserve lawful access to benefits. Partnership and support across government and service sectors will be important to helping people meet these new work requirements. Please use the resources below to spread the word and educate the people you work with and serve. New and updated materials will be added as they are developed.
