Lenita A. Walker
A native of Prince George’s County, Lenita holds a Bachelor of Science Degree. She also has graduate credits and certificates in Early Childhood Education. After 33 years of service in 2006 Lenita retired as a classroom teacher from Prince George’s County Public School System.
Currently Lenita works with high school teens who are pregnant or are already parents. The mission of this program is to help teen parents to graduate from high school and become better parents.
Lenita is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Delta Zeta Zeta chapter for Prince George’s County. Currently serving on the Royal Pearls Foundation. Lenita served with the Prince George’s County Commission for Women in 2003-2008.
In 2008 Lenita was honored with Southern Prince George’s Business and Professional Women “Women of the Year” award and now she is serving as President for the same organization. Currently she is a member of the Board ofDirectors for the Largo Town Center Association.
Lenita has been married to Ernest Walker for 48 years and has three wonderfuladult children. There are five grandchildren. Her daughter has two sets of teen twin girls and one grandson by her youngest son.
