Linda Han
Linda Han is an entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to empower women and minority-owned businesses and Korean immigrants. She is the CEO of Cash and Carry, Inc. and Global Hanin Yundai, Inc. A successful entrepreneur, she is one of the top business and community leaders in the Korean American community.
In 2006, she founded and was elected the first President of the Korean American Women‘s Chamber of Commerce- U.S.A. Under her leadership, the Chamber played an important role in promoting and supporting small businesses owned by women. She was subsequently elected the 37th President of the Korean American Association of the Washington Metropolitan Area. As President of this Association, she organized voter registration drives to increase participation of Korean Americans in politics, town hall meetings with elected officials to address concerns of the Korean American community in the Greater Washington area, and KORUS events to promote better cultural understanding between different races and different ethnic communities. Ms. Han served as Commissioner on the Maryland Governor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs and she is currently President of the Global Minority Women Empowerment Organization.
For her outstanding contributions, she has received many awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteer Service from President Joe Biden and the Presidential Medal for Community Service from Korean President Geun-Hye Park. She was presented the Maryland Governor’s Citation for Community Service and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman Chris Van Hollen.
