LaShaune M. Stitt, EdD.
Dr. Stitt is a former middle and high school literacy teacher who has worked in urban school districts throughout New York and Richmond, VA. She arrived in Baltimore as a school administrator working in an alternative school and PreK-8 settings. With almost 25 years of experience working with young people and adult learners from PreK through higher education, Dr. Stitt has served in various capacities throughout her career from classroom educator to administrator to professor, building culturally responsive curriculum in diverse settings along the way.

Dr. Stitt holds degrees from City College of NY, Mercy College, University of Scranton, and Northeastern University and currently serves as the Director of Equity and Access with Future of School, Expert Consultant with Future Ready NYC, and Consulting Coach and Community Developer for aspiring school founders with 4.0 Schools. Her voluntary efforts are just as extensive in leadership, as she is a board member for two non-profit organizations, an appointed Commissioner on the MD Commission for Women, Chair for the Northwest Area Education Advisory Council of BCPS, and member of an extensive list of committees and councils.

In her spare time, she loves catching up on Law & Order S.V.U. episodes and figuring out various ways to make the world a better place for women and children of color.
