I just want to thank all of the members of ACDSS Team FIA. You have accomplished great work over the past year in light of so many changes and challenges. I greatly appreciate each one of you for your hard work and dedication to the customers of Allegany County DSS and the state of Maryland. I would like to send a special thanks to my FIA Leadership Team which has changed and grown so much over the past three years. We have come a long way and there is no stopping us now. A special thank you also goes to Courtney Thomas-Winterberg, our Director, for her support and guidance.
ACDSS Team FIA is an amazing group of individuals who come together each day to complete our work and support each other. We are more like family than co-workers.
Thank you all very much and it is my pleasure to work with each one of you.

ACDSS EBT Fraud Replacement Process

The process of reimbursing stolen benefits through the EBT Fraud Reimbursement program is an extremely important and challenging task given the nature and sheer volume of claims.
The Allegany County FIA Fraud Team has risen to the occasion and replaced stolen benefits to thousands of customers, all while complying with a 10-day turnaround time. The team has deftly navigated an ever-changing policy landscape. They have worked hard to ensure Marylander’s benefits are restored in a timely fashion.
The team has exceeded expectations by all measures and represent the heart of FIA.
