CARROLL COUNTY

Carroll County Department of Social Services (CCDSS) is incredibly grateful for all of its special and hardworking FIA employees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, CCDSS was the founding agency for the county’s Food, Water, and Shelter task force. This initiative began during COVID and it is still in place. We also created an in-house food pantry during COVID, to enable our employees to donate nonperishable goods to immediately hand out to needy clients visiting our office.
Although the COVID-19 Pandemic Health Emergency has ended, food insecurity has increased in our community and we continue to work diligently to resolve our clients’ needs.

Our agency also actively partners with the county’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program to engage in various community outreach events. Our work readiness workshops help to prepare residents who are unemployed to enter the workforce in a post-COVID world. Our agency also partners with Carroll Community College to provide our staff an opportunity to enroll in Spanish language courses so that they may better serve our growing and diverse community CCDSS couldn’t do all of this important work without the dedication and resilience of our extraordinary FIA staff. Thank you each and every one of you for all that you do!
