Office of Community Relations

The BCDSS Office of Community Relations meets Baltimore City residents where they are so they can receive assistance with applying for federal benefits to enhance their well-being, without making a second trip to our offices. At Community Action Partnership Centers, BCDSS staff will readily assist city residents with signing up for federal benefits throughout Baltimore City. CAP Centers also render water, energy, and rental assistance to provide a holistic wrap-around service to our customer base.

Community Action Partnership Centers

BCDSS staff will readily assist city residents with signing up for federal benefits in five CAP center locations throughout Baltimore City. CAP Centers also render water, energy, and rental assistance to provide a holistic wrap around service to our customer base.

• Special Populations Unit: BCDSS staff will readily assist with the targeted/vulnerable population of customers at satellite locations throughout Baltimore City. These locations include liaisons for Healthcare for the Homeless, Mayor’s Office of Homeless Service, Mayor’s Office of Employment Development/American Job Centers Workforce Development and Baltimore Resettlement Center.
• MA Child Welfare & Adult Services: BCDSS staff readily assist with Medical Assistance for Child Welfare/Adult Services inquiries and applications to be addressed in a timely manner. Locations of services include: Medstar-Harbor Hospital, Medstar-Union Memorial Hospital, and Sinai Hospital.
• MA Hospital Unit: BCDSS staff will readily assist with Medical Assistance inquiries and applications to be addressed in a timely manner. Locations of services include: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Grace Medical Center, University of Maryland – Midtown/Greene Street, Department of Juvenile Services, John Hopkins Hospital – Elder Plus, St. Agnes Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital.
